Hello readers of my daily exploits... A Fine dry Day here in Liverpool... but wrapped up to keep warm under my Car once again... a follow up to my suspension problems last few days ago..

My Right Hand Rear Axle arm, had a split in its construction forward of the Suspension Tie Rod Eye connecting area. A big job removing all the connections I thought ..so I fabricated a repair in situ..... here is my attempt... in case it happens to YOU. Presented in Picture format.

Ok, it was an emergency repair, you did it to go back home I presume.

But is the arm is changed now ? Don't you had a stearing troubleshot (she can drive straight ahead without hands on the wheel) ?

I think also that there is a lot of chance that your parallelism is going to be wrong.

Okay readers here is were I am up too. I sent a comprehensive dossier to my City Council offices, regarding my escapade of the Speed Bumps and Road Crater that ripped into my Citroen Chariot, tearing the suspension cylinder apart and causing several other fiasco repairs under my vehicle,thats ancient in todays motoring circles....

I contacted them yesturday 21 days after my initial complaint was served, and the Head of Road Highway repairs was very sympathetic to my Plight.. after reading my account accompanied by 20 documented photographs of Proof of my Claim....

He was very positive in his concern, and assured me that compensation would be imminent shortly, so all is not lost.

I have paced myself 4 hours a day, under the vehicle, doing essential modifications and strengthening the Chassis edge full length of underside with galvanized angle Iron , also Boxed up the out facing chassis , also all underside of Rear Wheel arch construction area and boot area, I have re paneled with 2 m.m. Plates all manufactured from Cardboard patterns which I made specifically first, that fit like a Glove under side of the area concerned..... all this work I do
myself, outside on my house front.. I wouldn't let a Garage under take work of this nature, they sadly, haven't got skilled people these days capable of such under takings....

When I do a job, its done properly and built and finished in pristine condition.... as the popular song goes..... " No body does it Better " " Thats my Philosophy "

Note to ZamZam...... I dont think the parallelism could be affected... sorry to disappoint this suggestion... my Friend.

p.s. My first picture... it took me Two days to manufacture my FRONT BUMPER BAR... from Building Scaffolding Pipe.... with the support of two paraffin stoves for heat bending it to shape.

Thats dedication... 20 years ago when I made it.

I have often Rode down this Street before,but now its Night Mare Alley....main route to Wrecking Avenue, first on the Left.

The other mans Grass is always Greener, but only in his Back Garden, the Road verges are becoming extinct in Spekes District very rapidly, and a Golfers paradise of a Hole in ONE is definitely assured........if your Driving.

Out of Town visitors, are assured, that there is an abundance of Vehicle Scrap yards, around Merseyside specializing in modern vehicular Road Wheels , and suspension mechanisms, prices negotiable , or annual contracts, for latest Car models... unfortunately for me, my vehicle is classified as Historic Classic as its over Fifty years of age... these roads tore my suspension cylinder right out of the
Chassis mountings, ripped my Exhaust system to pieces, and caused other in numeral damage under my Citroen 2 C.V. thats subsequently given me so far a few Months work repairing and rectifying it , January 12th until now March 5th 2018.... finished at LAST. This occurrence also had a health scare in my instance.... in October 2017, I under went a Cancer Cells removal operation behind my Left ear, resulting in 12 stitches, however since January 17th lying under my car daily, has resurrected , a large swelling in my left neck Lymph Node , this has resulted in Five Scans ..MRI. Ultra Sound, Abdomen E.Rays , and Throat ex rays... with a view to two weeks in Hospital, for a Neck Di-section.... some thing I can do without at my age.
